It is interesting how questions related to this subject have evolved over the years. When I was younger and in Bible College (s and 90s), it was flatly stated. The pattern of hatching in some gull species such as the Ring-bill, however, is variable with some clutches hatching all 3 eggs on the same day but hatching in others is spread over days.
